Sales Galore!

OMG! So I haven't hit the mall yet (psyched for tomorrow!) but I checked online and there are some great sales going on. At American Eagle and Aerie it's free shipping and 40% off TODAY ONLY. Plus, at Aeropostale, if you spend $100 you get $25 back in e-gift card and a cute teddy bear! I went online to Victoria's Secret and was disappointed by the yoga pants. $25 for some black pants that have a plain pink LOVE PINK on top? Um, no thanks. So I picked the Aerie ones, for $17.50 with the discount and free shipping, which look so adorbs!
See any other sales? Spill!

Coming Up!

I found a bunch of new things coming up soon in the year and wanted to give a heads up (I'm so kind!) First, a new show on ABC Family called Jane By Design is premiering Jan. 3 and looks pretty good - I mean, it's about fashion! Hello? I also saw an ad for softlips in Winter Mint and Sugar Cookie - yummy! I've never tried the brand but my friend swears it's a lifesaver. I also spotted a hand lotion from eos. I haven't tried this brand either but their flavors seem really good! Click here to check it.
I'll keep posting over the month of December of cute trends/things I've noticed that seem cool!
P.S. I swear this is my last post! ;)

Sale Alert!

Right now, there is free shipping on select Sephora items. Click here to check it. I looked at it really quickly, but I think that if you spend fifty dollars it's free shipping. Nice!
Some items I spotted are: Benefit Cosmetics I'm Glam...Therefore I Am for $36, the Marc Jacobs Rollerball Trio for $38 (great deal!) and Phhilosophy Sweet Kisses and Merry Wishes Set for only $36!!!! These are amazing deals! Snatch 'em up before they're all gone!

In case I don't post later (I probably will) then good luck with your Black Friday shopping and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
XOXO, S

Thanksgiving Tips!

Okay, who doesn't love Thanksgiving and all the delicious food it brings? I mean, besides all the calories and bloating, of course. Bummer.
But don't worry, girls! Thanks to Seventeen magazine, I know all the tips to keep in shape tomorrow, without missing my fave goodies.
Skip the candied sweet potatoes and go with mashed potatoes and gravy, just a small scoop with a bit of butter.
Skip the turkey drumstick with skin and choose the white meat turkey (given!)
Skip the biscuit with butter, no matter how tempting, and pick the stuffing, especially if it's made with whole wheat and cooked outside of the turkey (to avoid the grease.) For dessert, ditch the pecan pie and enjoy a nice slice of pumpkin pie instead. It has less calories but is still definitely satisfying!

Bored Over the Weekend? If you're feeling restless and have nothing to do, try out Pumpkin S'mores. Make regular s'mores with the leftover pumpkin filling - yum!
Hit the movies - the Descendants, My Week With Marilyn, and the Muppets are all out!

Read one of my Book Recommendations! :)

NOTE: I am not affilaited with Seventeen in any way. I was not paid for this. These tips were taken from Seventeen magazine, issue November 2011.

Moonlight Path Review

Today I felt like doing a review for Bath and Body Works' Moonlight Path body lotion. I had never tried this before because I thought it smelled like baby powder. Then my friend gave it to me, so I figured I might as well give it a shot. It's perfect for me! I don't know about you but usually there are so many thoughts raging in my head at night it's hard to fall asleep. The lotion is not only super moisturizing, but also really soothing, and relaxes me. I've used almost half the bottle already and even purchased the matching body splash. Have you tried it? Did you like it or not? Comment below. Love, S

New Perfume, Black Friday, and Yoga Pants!

Hey beauties. :) Good afternoon!
I had an early release today (yay!) and am curled up in my bed as I write this post. It's cold and rainy inside, but it's warm and comfy here! LOL.
So, I haven't posted in a while...but don't worry. I am FULL of things to talk about! First off, I got a brand-new perfume and wanted to tell you all about it. It's from Pink and it's called Soft and Dreamy. It smells sweet, like cotton candy, and it has glitter too. My previous perfume was the same size and cost only $8, a pretty good deal. There are millions of amazing perfumes out there, so I recommend getting small sizes so you can always get that awesome perfume you just can't get enough of!
OMG! Tomorrow is Thanksgiving...and that means that Black Friday is in two days!!!! I am so pumped! I love Black Friday, not only for the sales, but for the excitement of waking up and going on the hunt. (Intense.) What stores do you plan to hit this Friday? Comment below. I, myself, am going to Delia's, Bath and Body Works, Aeropostale, Pink, and American Eagle. Hopefully there will be good deals.
I'm hoping to get those super-comfy black yoga pants at Pink this week too. A ton of girls in my grade have them, and they look perfect for days when I crawl out of bed. I'm going there first to snatch a pair, since they'll probably be on sale! Do you have the yoga pants? Getting them? Let me know what you think!
I would love to see what y'all get this week, so please send me an e-mail or comment. :)

Meet Makeup's Giveaway

As I mentioned already, I follow Meet Makeup, and they are doing a giveaway, so I need to post the pic in order to do it. :)

Comments, Spreading the Word, and Co-Blogging - Oh My!

Good evening ladies!
I thought I might as well mention a couple of things, before I forget them.
I know I just started this, but I really want people to view the blog! And I want to meet new people and hear your tips/techniques as well. So spread the word! Once you find this, tell your friends!
And once you find this blog....COMMENT! On almost every post I wrote today, I'm pretty sure at one point I mentioned "comment below!" or something like that. I seriously want to hear what you think. :)
As I said, I just started this, but I'm interested in working with somebody else on this blog. I don't have too much time, but I really want to continue this! So if you would like to do that, comment...and eventually I'll give details.
Well, that was that. Now, I guess I'll check out Meet Makeup. I hope to have some followers soon! ;)
Kisses, S

Holiday Woes

It's almost that time again... HOLIDAY SHOPPING!
Now, as you probably now, I love shopping as much as the next gal, but I sort of dread getting gifts for everyone. Yes, I know that sounds bad, but hear me out. I adore finding the perfect gift and seeing my friend's happy expressions, but when I have to hand over the cash, I sort of groan, and the cashier looks at me weird. Anyway, the reason is because I spend so much money. I already totaled up how much I'll be spending on gifts this year, and it came out to $100. Yep, that's right. And I thought I was saving money when I was planning out gifts!
For anyone else who is facing this dilemma, there's no need to fear, S is here! And we're going to somehow purchase the best holiday gifts without breaking the bank.
For the glamour lovers in your life, some good websites/brands to check out are:
Elf - it's seriously cheap yet has great products and a wide variety! For instance, the Glossy Gloss is only $3 and comes in tons of shades!
Bath and Body Works - grab the hand santizers, which are usually 5 for 5, or the 3 for 10 minis. Then head to your local dollarstore and get some cute baskets and make nice arrangements (if you don't say anything, they might even think that you bought it!) Plus, they have spa treatments and stress relievers, which are great ideas for your mom/dad!
Lush - okay, so it's not that cheap, but I looked online and found some great gift sets for around $10. Not bad, right? And you can always get one of the lip treatments and then a cute necklace (see below for where to find some!) Lush gift ideas, under $25
You can always hit your local Target or drugstore and grab some nail polish, gloss, and any other relatively cheap makeup to make a cute little bag for your girls.

For the book lovers, some ideas are:

  • Look around in the clearance isles of the bookstores. You'll be surprised what you find!
  • Or go to a thrift/second hand store and see what books they have. Usually they're in decent condition and come at 1/2 the price of the regular price!
For the fashion lovers:
  • Check out Forever 21. Most of their stuff is at a decent price, and the jewelry comes inexpensive as well!
  • Aeropostale is having a lot of sales lately, so go in and stock up on sweatshirts or sweaters for your friends (or yourself, too!) They have jewelry as well.

More ideas will come along as we get closer to the holidays!

November Essentials

Each month, I'll be posting the essentials - things that I've spotted in various stores that are simply must-haves. They are going to be relatively inexpensive, by the way (because by various stores I mainly mean drugstores.)

  1. Scent: Warm Vanilla Sugar at Bath and Body Works. This smells sweet and warm and makes you want to cuddle up with some hot chocolate and a good book by a fireplace - the perfect feeling for those upcoming cool winter days!
  2. Lips: Baby Lips, from Maybelline: I saw this in a fashion mag and decided to try it out. It seriously makes your lips feel super soft, so it definitely comes in handy because my lips get incredibly dry and chapped.
  3. Mascara: Neutrogena is one of my fave brands, and it's pretty cheap compared to the ones you find in Sephora! For a simple, easy look, go for the waterproof Healthy Volume. It's basic and quick for the days when you want a couple more minutes of sleep in your warm, comfy bed (and for me, that happens often!)

My Glambition

The purpose of this blog is to teach everyone how to be a glamour goddess - when money's tight and you're looking for some inspiration. So, I'm going to be looking for ways to save money yet still look stunning. There are so many videos and blogs that have been created about fashion and beauty, and yes, they are totally helpful. But, unfortunately, most of the time they have a decent amount of money to spend, and there I am, watching, thinking to myself, Um, sorry, but I don't exactly have seventy dollars to splurge on that designer perfume.

Hence, the reason for this blog. So, darlings, enjoy! ;)

Shall We Begin?

Hello everyone,
This is my first ever blog and I am unbelievably excited to begin! My name is Serena, and I absolutely adore shopping, fashion, makeup, romantic comedies, and chocolate. :) On this blog, I'm going to be posting amazing tips that I have learned, what's in for the season, reviews of movies/TV shows, and plenty more - so stay tuned! I would also love to hear what everyone else has to say, so please comment!
Kisses,
